As 2024 draws to a close, I find myself reflecting on the countless blessings in my life. I'm incredibly grateful for the love and support of my family, friends, and colleagues. And I am happy to be living in a healthy body, which allows me to experience so much more in life.
Family: The Foundation of My Life
While my wife and I juggle the responsibilities of raising three children, we've also made time for personal pursuits. This year, I was able to embark on several adventures, knowing that my family was well-cared for. I also took on additional responsibilities to support my wife's personal endeavors, allowing her to enjoy some much-needed time with friends. As our children grow older, we look forward to sharing more experiences together as a family.
My Parents
I'm incredibly grateful for my parents, who have always supported my dreams and aspirations. They instilled in me a love for learning and adventure, and their encouragement has been invaluable. I fondly remember our family ski trips, which sparked my passion for winter sports for example.
Friends: A Treasure Beyond Measure
This year has been filled with incredible adventures. Thanks to consistent cycling and running, I've pushed my physical limits and experienced things I never thought possible. From the breathtaking Dolomiti Snowboarding to the challenging TransAlp cycling… and many exciting runs in between: these experiences have been truly unforgettable. I'm grateful for the amazing friends who joined me on these journeys: Andre, Manfred, Andreas, Christian, Anja, Johannes, Joern, Simon and Christian. Sharing these experiences with like-minded individuals has made them even more special.
My colleagues
I'm fortunate to work with incredible colleagues who have become dear friends (many see above). I'm particularly grateful for Anja and Lars, who have provided invaluable support and guidance. Our Strategy Sync meetings have been essential for aligning our goals and sharing experiences. I'm also thankful for the support and encouragement of Charlotte, Lucas, and many others at SAP. A special thanks to Andreas, my co-host on the Labs Talk podcast. Our shared passion for technology and learning has made for many stimulating conversations and collaborative projects.
Communities
I've also been fortunate to be part of several vibrant communities. The Munich Tech Sauna has provided a welcoming space to connect with like-minded individuals and explore new ideas. Events like Codefreeze have exposed me to cutting-edge technologies and inspired me to push the boundaries of innovation - all while doing sports like cross country skiing outdoors! Minkorrekt Podcast and the Minkorrekt Zwift Cycling community keep me up to date and entertained - and sometimes even results in an IRL meetup, like the Sella Ronda bike day with Marion and Marco has shown! I'm grateful for the opportunity to contribute to some of these communities and learn from others.
My Health
I'm also grateful for my own health and well-being. Having a healthy body allows me to experience life to the fullest. I recognize the privilege of good health and am committed to maintaining it through regular exercise and a balanced lifestyle.
As I look ahead to the new year, I'm committed to continuing to cultivate gratitude and give back to others. I'm excited to see what the future holds and to embrace new opportunities with open arms.
