Even after a short sleep, I'm still feeling the effects of the past few days – sleep deprivation is definitely real! My Garmin ‘body battery’ only charged to 50 (oh my)... But, determined as ever, I started the day with my usual morning exercises and even braved The Dip (ice bathing!). It's a shock to the system, but it definitely wakes you up.
Over night some of the Codefreeze attendees even stepped out into the cold and witnessed some amazing full moon and even auroras!
At breakfast, we hatched a plan for a late-start skiing tour. Instead of sticking to prepared tracks, we're venturing off into nature on a scenic path. To handle the deeper snow, we swapped our thin Nordic skis for wider cross-country skis – perfect for gliding over the untouched terrain.
The morning marketplace at 9 AM gave us a glimpse of the day's exciting offerings. There's a great mix of sessions, from deep dives into tech to a sunrise hike (sunrise is around 1040 here up in the North!).
After our ski adventure, I was diving into the world of MiniZinc. It's a constraint modelling language for solving complex problems, and it's completely new to me. It’s exciting to learn something completely new and see what it can do.
I then joined an 1.5-hour smoke sauna session – after how much I enjoyed it on Monday, and how much I need to recover, I could not miss it. Besides doing “The Dip”
Another busy evening! We started with pancakes at the outdoor Turf Hut, followed by a deep dive into Web3. I then explored lightweight CSS frameworks like PicoCSS and SimpleCSS. Finally, we experimented with Hugo, the static site generator, building a basic blog and exploring its available themes.
Oh, and somewhere in between all of that, I need to finish writing this very blog post! It's a busy day, but I'm looking forward to every bit of it.
