Codefreeze Day 6: A Final Adventure and Farewell
Sunrise in the Mountains, Reindeer, and Reflecting on a Fantastic Week
Day six marked the end of our incredible week at Codefreeze, but it certainly didn't go quietly. We kicked things off with one last backcountry ski trip, and it was nothing short of epic. We had a great group of people, and the journey itself was simply stunning. We stopped at a cozy hut along the way, adding to the overall experience. Our route took us between two mountains, and the sunrise we witnessed was truly breathtaking. As if that wasn't enough, we spotted numerous reindeer and even several ptarmigans – a perfect farewell from the Finnish wilderness.
After our exhilarating ski trip, we attended a thought-provoking session on digital inheritance. It explored the often-overlooked question of what happens to our digital assets when we pass away and how we can better prepare for this eventuality. It was a serious but important topic, sparking some interesting discussions.
Later in the day, we gathered in our community area, Ekin Kammi, for more informal conversations and reflections on the week. I spent some time with attendees from Nuremberg (who are also close to my home in Munich), and we decided to cap off the day with a few more sauna sessions and ice dips at the hotel. It was a fitting way to wind down and share some final moments together.
And just like that, it was over. It's a little sad that this amazing week of conferencing, activities, and fantastic times with fellow tech enthusiasts has come to an end. I'd really gotten into the routine of it all.
Tomorrow is travel day. After breakfast, I'll pack up everything, and who knows, we might even squeeze in a short hike before heading off. It's been an unforgettable experience, and I'm already looking forward to the next Codefreeze!
