2023 was a year filled with NFT experiments and innovations. I had the opportunity to create and launch numerous NFT collections, both for work and personal projects. Most of the NFT drops and my own NFTs can be seen on popular marketplaces such as OpenSea - so check out my full collection!
Work NFT Projects
Through my work at SAP, I was able to leverage our cutting-edge NFT Management platform to streamline the creation and distribution of NFTs. We successfully executed several NFT drops, including:
DMEXCO 2023
We created a unique collection of ASCII art NFTs that captured the essence of Cologne. These drops were part of an NFT Hunt, across two locations at DMEXCO24. The one was the SAP Emarsys booth, where you could get the NFT by requesting a personal code and then claiming via the public claim page. The second NFT was only available for very short time - for 15 minutes - during a panel discussion in which I spoke. This way, we made it quite tough to enter the NFT Hunt, but in also increased the exclusivity. SAP x w3.vision - Emarsys | SAP x w3.vision - Stage Pass
w3.hub Collaboration
We developed an extensible NFT collection, utilizing SAP's signature colors and designs. This NFT collection uses a layere approach and each image is generated based on various layers. SAP x w3.vision - Partnerships matter | SAP x w3.vision - Communities matter
ECOM'21
I live-created an NFT during my workshop presentation, a memorable experience that showcased the power of our NFT Management solution. On top I liked how some easy animations turned the otherwise static NFT image assets into a cool looking drop. Generative AI at Bananaconf in Tallinn
At Bananaconf in Tallinn, we even generated a whole collection of NFT image assets. The result: a collection of unique, cool looking tech-inspired monkeys. And I still remember: I dropped all these NFTs during my presetation in Tallinn and all 49 NFTs were gonne in no time… BananaConf x NFT Management by SAP
Personal NFT Projects
Beyond my professional endeavors, I've explored personal NFT projects as well. I've experimented with various design tools, particularly Canva, to create visually appealing and unique NFT artworks. Canva's recent addition to my SAP toolbox (pro license) has further enhanced my creative capabilities, allowing me to efficiently design NFTs and other digital assets.
Munich Tech Sauna NFTs
The Munich Tech Sauna community is a unique gathering of tech enthusiasts in the beautiful city of Munich, Germany. We come together to unwind and connect, sharing the joy of saunas and great conversations. Our community values a tech-free environment, leaving gadgets and devices at the door, allowing us to focus on what truly matters: human connections.
For every single meeting in 2024, I created a fun animated image asset, which our members were able to collect. That results in an impressive amount of NFTs and every single grants you access to a special IRL channel on the Munich Tech Sauna Discord. You can see all my POAP NFTs here!
Codefreeze Conference NFTs
Codefreeze is a really special unconference in northern Finland. Once a year in January, a bunch of nerds meet to discuss the latest in tech. One exciting activity is “The Dip”, which means you go into ice cold water for a short moment. It’s especially cool after a hot sauna session. To proof that you’ve done the dip, I’ve also created an NFT image asset and we launched it as an NFT. Codefreeze { The Dip } Outage | Outage 2
Lessons Learned and Future Outlook
Throughout the year, I've gained valuable insights into the world of NFTs. I've learned the importance of strong community building, creative design, and effective storytelling. As the NFT landscape continues to evolve, I'm excited to explore new opportunities and push the boundaries of digital art and collectibles.
